Anderson Pond
Eglin Air Force Base, Florida
A unique project that includes restoration of 3,400 ft. of creek and expanded recreational opportunities at Anderson Pond on Eglin Air Force Base near Niceville, FL. A portion of an exsisting dam was removed and a bridge was built over the restored creek channel. A three-acre pond was constructed and a 1,200 ft. handicapped accessible boardwalk was constructed to allow fishing in the new pond.
Three Rivers RC&D Council, Inc. received an award from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Outstanding Contributions to this project in 2011.
Three Rivers RC&D Council, Inc. provided planning, engineering, design, construction, inspection, quality control, administrative and technical support to the Anderson Pond Project.
